In Corsica, if you pass one in the street you spit and turn around.

Red hair is seen on the heads of only four percent of people. Most of these exist in the U.K., the Republic of Ireland, and Australia.

In Denmark it is an honour to have a redheaded child.

Redheads are known to have a complicated personality, and are considered a myth. 

There has yet to be seen a simple-natured Redheaded female. 
Those that I've met so far matched the myth.  

Short temper and sexual fieriness are attributed to them.

There is a common perception that redheads could become extinct in 100 years. 

The country name of Russia means "land of reds" in honor of a redheaded Viking by the name of Rurik.

“Gingerphobia” is a fear of redheads. 

Ruadh gu brath is Gaelic for 

“Red heads forever!”

Approximately 1-2% of humans, or about two in 100 people in the world, have red hair.
